Pradhan, AGA COROM: JUSTICE BIRAJA PRASANNA SATAPATHY Order No ORDER 08.07.2025 01. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode. 2. Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties. 3. The present Writ Petition has been filed inter alia with the following prayer:- “Under the above circumstances, it is therefore, humbly prayed that the Hon'ble Court he graciously pleased to issue a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order to the Opposite Party No.1 to count the service rendered by the petitioner on ad hoc basis i.e. the period from 01.07.2014 to 14.01.2018 as continuous regular service for all purposes i.e. continuity of service, pay protection, seniority and the promotional benefits as is due and admissible to the petitioner and, Further, the Hon'ble Court be pleased to direct the Opposite Party No. 1 and 2 to cause necessary correction in the service book of the petitioner which is published and issued by the Human Resources Management System of Government of Odisha stating therein the corrected date of entry in the Government Service of the petitioner as 01.07.2014 in place of 15.01.2018. And for this act of kindness, as in duty bound, the petitioner shall ever pray”. 4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the request made to Opposite Party No.1 under Annexure-11 to the writ petition is pending, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, she prays that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted request within a specific time period. 5. Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted request so available under Annexure-11 in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of this order with due communication to the Petitioner. While taking such a decision, relevancy and effect of the office order dtd.02.07.2020 so enclosed vide Annexure-12 be taken into consideration. Petitioner is directed to provide copy of this order along with copy of Annexure-12 and so also Annexures-10 & 11 before Opposite Party No.1 for compliance.
