GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents, more particularly respondent no.4 and 7 in failing to protect the life, liberty, and property of the petitioners from the unlawful acts, intimidation, and threats posed by Respondents 8 to 10, despite the conclusive findings and recommendations of the revenue authorities namely, the 6TH respondent (Mandal Revenue Inspector) dated 20.08.2025, the Three-Men Committee Report dated 25.08.2025, and the 5TH respondent (Tahsildar) Proceedings Rc.No.A/432/2025 dated 25.08.2025 as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional, and violative of fundamental and constitutional rights of the petitioners guaranteed Articles 14, 21, and 300-A of the Constitution of India, and consequently direct the respondents, particularly the 7TH respondent (Station House Officer, Yadiki Police Station), to forthwith provide adequate and effective police protection to the petitioners and their lawful cultivators, ensuring their peaceful possession, cultivation, and enjoyment of their agricultural lands situated at Konuppalapadu Village, Yadiki Mandal, Anantapur District, bearing Survey Nos.148-A1 (Ac.3.49), 146-B (Ac.0.11), and 145-B (Ac.0.39) and consequently restrain Respondents 8 to 10 from interfering with the petitioners possession and from committing any acts of violence or intimidation against the petitioners and their life and property.” 2. Heard Sri G.V.S.Kishore Kumar, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner being an old aged person, submitted a representation to the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police, Anantapuramu District seeking protection of his life and property from the hands of Respondent No.8. Learned counsel would further submit that the District Collector as well as the Superintendent of Police initiated enquiry and a Three Men Committee was also formed in which the Sub Inspector of Police, Yadiki Police Station is also one of the Members. 3 It is further submitted that the Tahsildar also enquired and gave his report to the effect that there is a threat to the life of the Petitioner. Despite the same, the Police did not respond to give any protection to the Petitioner. 4. Per contra, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home brought to the notice of this Court that the Police called both parties, gave counselling to them and initially Respondent No.8 accepted before the Police that he will not interfere into this matter and approach the Court to work out their remedy. 5. Considering the submissions made and on perusal of the material placed on record, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed to take appropriate steps against Respondent Nos.8 to 10 under Section 126 of BNSS. There shall be no order as to costs.
