PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner herein, seeking anticipatory bail, in connection with an unregistered crime pertaining to the police report pending in Pithapuram Police Station. 2. According to the petitioner herein, one Smt. Sagi Lakshmi submitted a report to the Superintendent of Police, Kakinada, 2 Kakinada district, alleging that the petitioner cheated her to a tune of Rs.3.55 Crores by fraudulently opening account in her name and that there are disputes between them in relation to land transactions etc. 3. Heard. Perused the record. 4. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that, admittedly, the alleged report said to have been given by Sagi Lakshmi against the petitioner herein is not at all registered by the police concerned so far. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor too concurred that as on date, no case has been registered against the petitioner herein based on the report given by the said Sagi Lakshmi. When no case is registered against the petitioner herein, the question of granting anticipatory bail to him does not arise. 5. In view of the said reasons, the Criminal Petition is not maintainable and the same is, accordingly, dismissed.
