Consequent to registration of a case in Crime No.302/2025 of Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station, Bangalore City for the offence punishable under Sections 7 and 3 of Essential Commodities Act, 1955, Sections 4 and 7 of Liquified Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply & Distribution) Order 2000 and Sections 287 and 318(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, 12 vehicles were seized by the police. The petitioner's grievance is that inspite of filing necessary applications before the 2nd respondent, no order has been passed as on today. It is therefore submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to dispose of the applications in respect of seven (7) vehicles belonging to the petitioner, at the earliest. 3. It is submitted that the applications seeking interim custody of the vehicles were filed on 29.09.2025. Keeping the vehicles idle and unused may render the vehicles useless. When applications are filed, the same have to be considered in accordance with law and - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:41435 WP No. 31155 of 2025 expeditiously, in a case of this nature. Hence, the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the applications seeking interim custody of the vehicles expeditiously, as far as possible within a period of ten (10) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
