NATARAJ ORAL ORDER The petitioners have challenged the prosecution launched against him by the respondent No.1 in C.C.No.17167/2020 for an offence punishable under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code (henceforth referred to as ‘IPC’ for short) read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, which is pending trial before the L Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru. 2. When this petition is listed for orders, the learned counsel for the respondent No.2 submitted that the petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 have settled the dispute amicably before the family Court and their marriage is dissolved. He also submits that the respondent No.2 has consented for quashing the prosecution against the petitioners in C.C.No.17167/2020. 3. In view of the aforesaid submission, this petition is allowed. The prosecution of the petitioners in C.C.No.17167/2020 on the file of the L Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru, for the offence punishable - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:40681 CRL.P No. 13029 of 2025 under Section 498(A) of the IPC and read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, is quashed.
