The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Kandi P.S. Case No. 84 of 2024, for the offence registered under Section 12 of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, pending in the court of Smt. Veena Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Garhwa. On 16.09.2024, Kandi Police raided the house of co-accused Mumtaj Ansari and seized 25 kgs. of bovine flesh from there. It was submitted that petitioner was neither apprehended at the spot nor anything was recovered from his possession. It was further submitted that name of the petitioner has transpired in confession of co-accused. It was finally submitted that co-accused person has been granted bail by this Court vide B.A. No.10371 of 2024. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Smt. Veena Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Garhwa or her successor, in connection with Kandi P.S. Case No. 84 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
