Hon'ble Prakash Padia,J. 1.Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner inter-alia with the prayer to direct the respondent no.2-District Magistrate(Licensing Authority), District Chitrakoot to allow the area extension application dated 05.07.2023 and arms license of the petitioner (License No. 268) for his .315 Bore rifle (Weapon No. AB11-05760) may extend to all over U.P. from district Chitrakooot. 2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 16.04.2025, the instructions dated 07.05.2025 under the signature of District Magistrate, Chitrakoot is placed before this Court, is taken on record. Relevant para no.3 of the aforesaid instruction, is extracted below:- "3. यह ककि पपुललिस कविभभाग दभारभा उपलिब्ध किरभाययी गययी आख्यभा वि उपयपुरक्त शभासनभाददेश कदनभानांककित 18.04.2017 मम कदयदे गयदे कनदरशशों किदे क्रम मम यभाचयी /आविदेदकि किदे शस्त्र लिभाइसमस किभा सयीमभा कदेत्र कविस्तभाररत ककियदे जभानदे किकी आविश्यकितभा एविनां औकचत्य किदे सम्यकिक परयीकणणोपरभान्त यभाचयी किदे शस्त्र लिभाइसमस सनांख्यभा 268/थभानभा मभाकनकिपपुर गन सनांख्यभा ए बयी 11-05760 एन०पयी०बयी० रभाइफलि किभा सयीमभा कदेत्र जनपद कचत्रकिक ट सदे बढभाकिर सम्पकणर उ०प्र० रभाज्य तकि ककियदे जभानदे हदेतपु आददेश कदनभानांकि 06.05.2025 किदे अन्तगरत अनपुमणोदन प्रदभान किर कदयभा गयभा हहै।" 3. On the other hand, it is argued by Sri Vijay Shanker Prasad, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondent that necessary order will be passed pursuant to aforesaid order, expeditiously. 4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondents and perused the record. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case and also in the interest of justice, present writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2-District Magistrate (Licensing Authority), District Chitrakoot to take appropriate decision on the area extension application of fire arms of the petitioner in accordance with law, expeditiously, after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
