Petitioners were serving as Deputy Education Officer at the time of filing of writ petition. They had contended that a Departmental Promotion Committee was convened for considering their claim for promotion to the post of Block Education Officer and the DPC had recommended to promote petitioners, but the recommendation was not being acted upon by the Authorities. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioners had approached this Court, seeking the following relief:- (i) Issue a writ or order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue the promotion order in respect of petitioners to the post of Block Education Officer in the pays scale of Rs. 67700-208700, Level 11 on the basis of DPC convened on 05.07.2019. 4. Learned State Counsel was granted time to get instructions. Today, State Counsel has produced in Court a letter dated 14.07.2025 received by his Office from Director General, School Education, which is taken on record. 5. Perusal of the said letter reveals that petitioners were promoted in terms of recommendation made by DPC, vide order dated 19.03.2020. The order of 2025:UHC:6141-DB promotion has also been enclosed with the written instructions. Perusal of promotion order reveals that all the petitioners were promoted as Block Education Officer in the pay-scale of ₹67700-208700 (Level-11). 6. In such view of the matter, no further orders are needed in the matter. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and is dismissed. (Subhash Upadhyay, J.)
