JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 27.01.2025 [1] Present Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned G.A. for the State respondent and Mr. S. Kaminikumar, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 & 3. [2] The petitioner who is a contractor for undertaking repairing of the Trade Centre Moreh and as per the letter dated 22.06.2022 issued by the Director of Trade, Commerce and Industries, Manipur to the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Textiles, Commerce & Industry), Government of Manipur, 80% of work has been completed and work is in progress. Out of total amount of Rs. 2,90,00,000/-, a sum of Rs. 1,49,32,564/- has already been released and the balance of Rs. 1,40,67,436/- is still banned to be released. [3] Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 20% of the work could not be completed due to the present situation in Manipur and he is restricting his claim to the remaining portion of 80% of the completed work which turns out to be Rs. 82,67,436/-. [4] Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the admitted amount can be released after due confirmation. [5] Recording the submissions made at the bar, the State respondents are directed to release the balance amount of 80% work completed by the petitioner after proper verification within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
