1. Both the petitions are taken up together for final disposal with the consent of learned counsels for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner in both the cases submitted that the applications (Annexure P-3) filed under Section 36(2) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by the respondent-National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), which is the judgment debtor, are pending for a long period of time i.e.

CR-5097-2025 (O&M) and CR-5098-2025 (O&M) -2- for more than three years and have not yet been decided. He has therefore, made an alternate prayer in both the petitions that the aforesaid applications (Annexure P-3) may be directed to be considered and decided within a time frame work and on this limited issue, a direction may be issued to the learned Additional District Judge, Patiala, who is considering the applications under Section 36(2) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, to consider and decide the same within a time frame work.
3. Mr. D. K. Singal, Advocate has appeared on behalf of respondent- NHAI and has filed his power of attorney in both the cases in the Court today and the same are taken on record. He submitted that considering the aforesaid limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner in both the cases, he has no objection with regard to the same.

In view of the aforesaid submissions and statements made by the learned counsels for the parties, both the present petitions are disposed of with a direction to the learned Additional District Judge, Patiala, before whom the applications (Annexure P-3) under Section 36(2) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 are stated to be pending, to consider and decide the same in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today.
5. A copy of this order be sent to the concerned Court.
