This Court, vide order dated 09.07.2024, passed in MCRC No. 7950 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Akash Nishad, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Saraipali, District – Mahasamund (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 07.08.2025 has requested for grant of at least one month time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, the accused is on bail and has been absent for the last three hearing dates, i.e. 30-07- 2025, 05-08-2025 and 06-08-2025. In the application for exemption from appearance under Section 317(1) filed by the accused’s counsel, the reason cited for the accused’s absence is flooding at the accused’s place of residence in Prayagraj. However, due to the absence of the accused, the trial could not proceed further. It is respectfully submitted that an additional period of at least one month is required for the final disposal of the case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
