CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for both the respondents.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the land was regularized in favour of the petitioner in the year 1987-88 and TT fine was collected from the petitioner. However, the name of the petitioner has not been entered in the revenue records. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the petitioner in Crl.Case No.LGC(G) No.11130/2021 which came to be abated on 30.05.2023. The petitioner subsequent to the abatement of the case, made a representation to the 2nd respondent-Tahsildar on 30.06.2023 seeking for regularisation of the land.

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33226 WP No. 4284 of 2025 However, no action has been taken by the respondent- Tahsildar in that regard.

The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Chikkamagaluru District, to verify the records and find out whether land was regularised in favour of the petitioner, kimmath was paid by the petitioner in respect of the land. The Tahsildar shall also look into proceedings initiated against the petitioner in Crl.Case No.LGC(G) No.11130/2021 stood abated. If it is found from the records that the facts stated hereinabove are true, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records, after collecting the necessary fee in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. Ordered accordingly.
