This writ petition has been filed for the following relief: "(i) A writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding to the District Magistrate, Azamgarh (Respondents No. 2) to decide the application dated 28.03.2025 providing possession over the land alloted for housing site on Gata No. 2077m/0.021 kadi, approved by Assistant Collector on 21.10.1999 with regard to village Sadarpur Barauli, pargana- Mahul, tehsil- Phoolpur, District- Azamgarh, within some specific time bound period." 3. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that residential lease was granted to the father of the petitioner in the year 1999, but possession has not been given to either to the father of the petitioner or to the petitioner. 4. The petitioner has approached this court after 25 years. There is no good explanation for delay and laches in filing the petition on the part of the petitioner. 5. In view of the same, I am not inclined to interfere in the matter. 6. The writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedy as available to him under law.
