CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY
: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE PRADEEP KUMAR SRIVASTAVA
---
For the Appellant : Mr. Gaurav, Advocate
For the Respondent : A.P.P.
--- 3/04.12.2025 Heard Mr. Gaurav, learned counsel appearing for the appellant and the learned A.P.P. appearing for the State.
This appeal is directed against the order dated 11.09.2025 passed in A. B. P. No. 171 of 2025 arising out of Khunti A.H.T.U. P. S. Case No. 1 of 2024 by the learned District & Additional Sessions Judge I, Khunti whereby and whereunder the prayer for anticipatory bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that the daughter of the informant was enticed away by the appellant for the purposes of human trafficking.
Though, there is an admitted delay of 12 years in institution of FIR, but considering the fact that the victim is still traceless and several witnesses in course of investigation have stated about the involvement of the appellant in taking away the victim for the purposes of human trafficking, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the appellant and this appeal accordingly stands dismissed.
