By way of this petition, petitioner sought following relief(s) : “10.1 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the impugned notice dated 08.06.2025 (P/1) issued by respondent No.3 and be direct the respondents to reserved seat for schedule tribe category for Nagar Panchayat Bamhanihid District Janjgir Champa (C.G.). 10.2 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the records for its kind perusal which relates to petitioner’s matter. 10.3 Any other relief, which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper, may also be passed in favour of the petitioner.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that this petition has been filed by the petitioner against impugned notice dated 08.06.2025 (Annexure P-1) issued by respondent No.3, whereby while reserving the total wards of Nagar Panchayat Bamhanidih, the seat/ward has not been reserved for the category of scheduled tribe for election of Nagar Panchayat Bamhanidih. He further contended the the petitioner has made representation before the Collector - respondent No.3 vide Annexure P-6 dated 30.06.2025, but the same has not been decided yet. Hence, this petition. 3. Learned State counsel contended that the concerned authority is ready to decide the representation/application made by the petitioner in accordance with law. 3 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record with utmost circumspection. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, submissions of the counsel for the respective parties, respondent no. 3 – Collector/Prescribed Authority, Janjgir-Champa, District Janjgir- Champa (C.G.) is directed to decide the representation/application made by the petitioner on 30.06.2025 (Annexure P/6) after providing sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law, rules and regulations. The said representation shall be decided, if the same has already not been decided. 6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with respect to the merits of the case. 7.
