PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court Made the Following Order: The instant petition under Section 528 of the BNSS has been filed by the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 3 and 5 to 8, seeking quashment of 2 proceedings against them in C.C.No.210 of 2019 on the file of the learned VI Additional Junior Civil Judge, Guntur, for the offences under Sections 447, 427, 324 and 323 read with 34 IPC. 2. Heard Sri S.Sai Krishna, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for respondent No.1/State. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that in C.C. No. 210 of 2019, there has been no progress in the matter. Learned counsel would further submit that the petitioners are coolies and that their livelihood is being affected, as they have been attending the Court on every adjournment for the last 7½ years. Therefore, he prays that a direction be issued to the trial Court for the expeditious disposal of the case. 4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor reported no objection and would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. However, the learned Trial Judge is directed to proceed with the matter and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible without granting any adjournment in casual way by mere asking and further directed to inform the Registry about the progress of the case by 01.02.2026.
