A short prayer made in the present writ petition is for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 & 3 to acquire the land owned by the petitioners, falling in khasra No.22//18/1 (2-6) and 19/1/2 (1-9) situated at Village Hasanpur, Hadbast No.96, Tehsil Kharar, District SAS Nagar. 2. In response, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.2 informs that the process of acquisition of the aforementioned land has already been commenced with the notification dated 19.03.2025 issued under Section 3A(1) of the National Highway Act, 1956 and the same shall be concluded in due course. 3.
