The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Nimdih P.S. Case No.42 of 2024 (S.T. Case No.208 of 2024) for the offences registered under Sections 74/ 109/ 118(2) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I-cum-Spl. Court, Crime against Women, Seraikella. On 04.08.2024 at about 7:00 P.M., the petitioner is alleged to have outraged the modesty of the female family members of the informant. When the informant opposed, the petitioner attacked the victims by blade causing cut injury on the neck of one of the injured while he also injured two other persons. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the victim has sustained simple injuries. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. Petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after three months. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
