Heard the parties. 2. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), is publishing the results in piecemeal manner, in relation to the appointment of Assistant Teacher in Class-VI to VIII. This piecemeal

publication of the result has given rise to several litigations. The candidates who are not selected are aggrieved as their marks have also not been published by the JSSC. The JSSC is only providing the Roll Numbers of the candidates who have obtained more marks than the cut-off marks that too, in a piecemeal manner. Thus, the other candidates who feel left out are approaching this Court without even knowing the actual marks what they have obtained and also without knowing whether they have obtained more marks or lesser marks than the person who are called for document verification. 3.
It is not necessary that the persons who only qualifies in the examination are to be selected. The qualification marks only allow them to cross the first bar. The right is accrued when any person in the same category obtaining lesser marks than the petitioner is appointed. The said situation is yet to arrive in these cases. 4. Thus, I direct the JSSC to publish the results of all the candidates simultaneously along with the marks obtained by each of the candidates so that the candidates may know that none obtaining lesser marks than them in the same category have been appointed. The same will also minimize future litigation. 5. In this case, since the final results along with marks are yet to be published, this writ is premature. In future, if cause of action arises so far as the petitioners are concerned and if it is found that any person in the category of the petitioners having lesser marks has been appointed, it will be open to the petitioners to approach this Court challenging the same. 2025:JHHC:34891 3
6. Henceforth, the respondent-JSSC will ensure that the results of the candidates in a particular category are not published in parts, rather be published in totality. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. (ANANDA SEN, J.) 20th November, 2025 Prashant. Cp-2
