The instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to register an FIR under relevant provisions of law against respondents No.4 to 6 along with two unidentified persons, who illegally broke into land of the petitioner by breaking the lock during the day and stole the goods belonging to the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite complaints/representations having been made to the authorities concerned, the official respondents have been sitting over the matter and till date have not proceeded in accordance with law against the accused persons. After arguing for some time, learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to the official respondents, to look into representation dated 25.01.2025 (Annexure P-2), decide the same in the light of Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. : 2013 (4) RCR (Criminal) 979, VINAY 2025.04.04 09:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CRM-M-18078-2025 and take appropriate steps. 3. Notice of motion to official respondents only. 4. On asking of the Court, Mr. H.S. Deol, Sr. DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 5. In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of and respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar, is directed to look into the representation (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner, decide the same at the earliest and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law. However, if respondent No.2 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation (Annexure P-2), then the petitioner shall be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v.
