JUSTICE MOHAMMAD NAWAZ ORAL ORDER Heard the learned counsel for petitioner, learned High Court Government Pleader for the State and perused the material on record. 2. A goods vehicle was intercepted on 25.2.2025 at about 2.30 p.m., near Speech and Hearing Signal, J.C.Road, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru City. It is alleged that, petitioner/accused No.2 along with accused No.1 was illegally transporting the cattle in the said vehicle to the slaughter house. 3. According to prosecution, accused No.1 was driving the vehicle and on enquiry by the police, he confessed that he was transporting the cattle at the behest of accused No.2 i.e., petitioner herein. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38334 CRL.P No. 12802 of 2025 4. Both accused Nos.1 and 2 preferred Crl.P.No.8772/2025 seeking anticipatory bail. The said petition was partly allowed. In respect of accused No.1, bail was granted whereas the petition was rejected in respect of the petitioner herein-accused No.2 on the ground that he has been involved in one more case. 5. Learned counsel submitted that accused No.1 though enquired by the police was not arrested. 6. Petitioner/accused No.2 was arrested on 14.8.2025 and he is in judicial custody. It appears that on the confession statement of accused No.1, petitioner has been arraigned as an accused. The offences alleged are not punishable with death or imprisonment for life. Further detention of the petitioner is not required. He has undertaken to furnish adequate surety to ensure his presence before the trial Court. Hence, the following: ORDER I. Petitioner/accused No.2 in Crime No.12/2025 of Jayalakshmipuram Police Station, Mysuru City, shall be enlarged on bail, subject to the following conditions: 1. He shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only), with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court. 2. He shall furnish proof of his residential address and shall inform the Court, if there is change in the address. 3. He shall not directly or indirectly tamper with the prosecution witnesses. 4. He shall not indulge himself in committing any offence. 5. He shall appear before the trial Court regularly on all dates of hearing.
