GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: 2 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the high-handed the action of the Respondents in interfering with the civil and matrimonial disputes between the Petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.8, threatening the Petitioners and their family with criminal cases, and harassing them by calling them to the police station without any legal authority, as illegal, high-handed, arbitrary, and violative of the fundamental rights guaranteed to the Petitioners under Articles 14, 21 of the Constitution of India and direct in disobedience of the Orders of this Hon'ble Court in WP.No.16637 of 2025 dated 14.07.2025 with a consequential direction to the Respondents to not to threaten and interfere with the civil and matrimonial disputes between the Petitioner and the 4th Respondent by calling the Petitioner to the Police Station except in accordance with law.” 2. Sri P.Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that, basing on the complaint given by Respondent No.8, the Petitioners were called to the Police Station for family counseling. It is further submitted that the Petitioners did not turn up to the Police Station. 3. Sri G.Arun Showri, learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that no crime has been registered against the Petitioners. Let there be a direction to the Police not to harass the Petitioners by calling to the Police Station under the guise of family counseling. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Police are directed not to call the Petitioners to the Police Station in the absence of any crime registered against them. There shall be no order as to costs.
