The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to consider his case for promotion. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as Tracer since appointment and his service is due for retirement on 30th September, 2025. He would further submit that as evident from Annexure P/10 the process for convening of DPC is going on for promotion to the post of Assistant Draftsman to the petitioner, therefore, it is prayed that an early promotion order be released to extend benefit of promotion to the petitioner. 3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is directed to the respondents that they shall consider the case of the petitioner for promotion and while considering his case for promotion, his superannuation should not come in the way to deprive him the benefit of promotion, if he was otherwise deserved to be considered for promotion. 4. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed off.
