Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Sukhdeonagar (P) P.S. Case No. 636 of 2024 for the offences registered under Sections 309(6), 311, 111(2) (b) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Section 27 of the Arms Act and cognizance has been taken for the offences under Sections 310(2), 317(3), 111(2)(b) of the B.N.S. and Sections 25(1-B)a 26, 27, 37 of the Arms Act, pending in the Court of Ms. Archana Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi.

On 30.12.2024 at about 12.15 pm, three unknown persons intercepted the informant’s staff, namely, Sumit Gupta near Manokamnana Temple and looted about thirteen lakh rupees from him. During the course of investigation, the petitioner was apprehended and from his possession, Rs. 70,000/- was recovered.

It was submitted that the petitioner is neither named in the FIR or he was put on test identification parade. It was further submitted that the money which was recovered belongs to the petitioner. It was finally submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court as well as by Co-ordinate Bench of this Court.

A report regarding the stage of trial, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that though charge has been framed on 13.11.2025, but the prosecution has not examined any witness.

In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Ms. Archana Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi, or her successor, in connection with Sukhdeonagar (P) P.S. Case No. 636 of 2024.
