This appeal is by the husband/appellant challenging an order passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Allahabad on 29.10.2018, whereby an amount of Rs.2500 has been awarded to the wife/respondent no.1 whereas Rs.1500 has been awarded to the minor daughter. A sum of Rs.3000 has been awarded towards lump sum litigation cost. This order of the Family Court has been challenged now in 2025 by filing the present appeal. 2. The appeal is reported to be barred by time of 2323 days. The only ground taken in the delay condonation application filed in support of the appeal is that the appellant had no knowledge about the order passed and when later he met his counsel he was informed about such order. 3. We find the explanation furnished in the affidavit filed in support of delay condonation application to be hopelessly devoid of any substance. Admittedly, the order, under challenge, has been passed after hearing the parties. In such circumstances, we do not find any occasion to entertain the present appeal filed after long lapse of time. 4. The delay condonation application filed in support of the appeal is, accordingly, dismissed. Consequently, the appeal is also dismissed as time barred. Order Date :- 25.4.2025 Ashok Kr.
