The said order of termination is stated to have been passed since the petitioner, who had been appointed on compassionate grounds, had failed to clear the requisite qualifying exams within four attempts. [2] Mr. Urvashi Purohit, learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that the Government had thereafter passed a resolution in which it has been stated that for persons who have been appointed on compassionate grounds, even if they were not able to clear the requisite exams, nevertheless their services would have to be continued albeit in a lower grade. Learned Assistant Government Pleader also places on record orders by which she states that the petitioner has, in fact, been reinstated to a Class-IV post and the petitioner has also given an C/SCA/12978/2021 ORDER DATED: 26/06/2025 affidavit stating that he is accepting the reinstatement to a Class-IV post without any demur. [3] In light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of as having become unnecessary. Rule is discharged. (NSSG, J.)
