1. Heard Shri N. Hariharan, Senior Advocate with Shri Mayank Jain, Shri Harshwardhan Pargania and Shri Arpit Goel, Advocates as well as Shri Mahesh Jethmalani, Senior Advocate and Shri Ravi Sharma, Deputy Advocate General appearing through Video Conferencing with Shri Vivek Sharma, Additional Advocate General/ learned counsel for the respondent.

The present Cr.M.P. has been filed with the following prayer:- This Hon’ble Court be graciously pleased to:- a) Quash the “further investigation” being carried out by the Respondent in FIR No. 04/2024 dated 17.01.2024 (Chhattisgarh Liquor Scam), as detailed in the present petition, being bad in law, including all consequential proceedings arising from such further investigation; and b) Quash all material collected, including statements, documents, chargesheets and actions taken in relation to
3 such ‘further investigation’ in the above-mentioned cases; and c) Pass such other or further order(s) as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case, in the interest of justice.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent has raised a preliminary objection regarding the prayer made in the present petition and we confronted the same to learned Senior Counsel.
Learned counsel for the petitioner tried to justify the prayer made in the present petition.
4. Considering the fact that the prayer which has been made is general in nature and is not specific against the petitioner himself.
5. In view of the same, learned counsel petitioner prays that present petition be dismissed as withdrawn with a liberty to file fresh with appropriate prayer.
