(ORAL) The prayer in the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus to release the detenue namely Kiranjot Kaur D/o Kuldeep Singh (petitioner) who is stated to be in illegal detention of respondent Nos.4 to 7. A status report dated 05.08.2025 by way of an affidavit of Gurwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Ajnala, Amritsar (Rural) has been filed on behalf of the State by the learned counsel for the State. The same is taken on record. As per the reply, Kiranjot Kaur is not in the custody of respondent Nos.4 to 7 and is otherwise untraceable despite efforts being made to trace her whereabouts. In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court.
