Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1966 and consequently direct the Respondent authorities to consider the application filed by the petitioner and direct the respondents to grant quarry lease for Colour Granite and Building Stone over an extent of 4.755 Hectors in Sy.No.201/p of Rallabudugur Village, Santhipuram Mandal, Chittoor District, in favour of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders and to pass IA NO: 1 OF 2025 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased pleased to direct the Respondent authorities to process the petitioner quarry lease application for Colour Granite and Building Stone over an extent of 4.755 Hectors in Sy.No.201/p of Rallabudugur Village, Santhipuram Mandal, Chittoor District, filled through the SDP vide Application ID No.MN0325002124, dated 01.07.2025 and application dated 01.07.2025, pending disposal of this writ petition and to pass Counsel for the Petitioner: 1. G N UMA RANI Counsel for the Respondent(S): 1. GP FOR MINES AND GEOLOGY The Court made the following: ORDER:- Heard Ms. G.N.Uma Rani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. Sudeepthi Potluri, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology appearing for the 1st to 4th respondents. 2. It is contended that the petitioner made an application dated 01.07.2025 seeking the grant of quarry lease for Colour Granite & Building Stone over an extent of 4.755 Hectares in Sy.No. 201/p of Rallabudugur Village, Santhipuram Mandal, Chittoor District, based on the application, the Tahsildar, Santhipuram Mandal, vide proceedings dated 27.08.2025, has 3 issued a NOC for the grant of a quarry lease. However, the respondents have not passed any further orders; hence, the present writ petition. 3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology has placed before the Court a copy of the instructions received by her in the case. A perusal of the same would reflect that as many as three applications were filed over the same area, other than the application of the petitioner in respect of the subject extent. It is further stated that after verifying the land and after verifying overlapping, if any, necessary proposals would be submitted, in accordance with the law. 4. Having regard to the same, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the quarry lease application of the petitioner dated 01.07.2025 within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of the receipt of the order. 5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
