The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking following reliefs: - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:26557 WP No. 9614 of 2025 a. To issue appropriate writ or order or direction against the respondents and thereby set-aside / quash the following notices dated 04.01.2025 issued by the first respondent to the petitioners vide Annexures - A, A1 & A2. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the Writ papers with care. 3. Suffice it to note that the BESCOM Authority issued Communications to the petitioners on 04.01.2025, stating that they have received a letter from the Commissioner, Town Municipality, Challakere and hence, they would take appropriate steps to disconnect the power supply. Counsel Sri.H.V.Devaraju., submits that the petitioners may be directed to submit a suitable reply and the authority would consider the same in accordance with the law. The oral submission made by counsel Sri.H.V.Devaraju., is placed on record. The petitioners are directed to submit their suitable reply to the communications within two weeks from the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:26557 WP No. 9614 of 2025 receipt of certified copy of this order. Upon receipt of the reply, the authority concerned shall consider the same in accordance with the law. By virtue of the interim order dated:01.04.2025, the electricity power connection was restored. The BESCOM Authority shall not precipitate the matter to disconnect the power supply till the consideration of the reply that would be submitted by the petitioners. Needless to observe the petitioners shall pay the regular consumption charges. 4. Resultantly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
