GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: The present writ petition is filed seeking to declare the impugned action of the 2nd respondent in disposing of the PGRS application dated 22.05.2023 as illegal and arbitrary. 2. On perusal of the application, the claim of the petitioner is that she has been in possession of the subject land for decades, but the authorities have not issued Patta Passbooks in her favour and the said land has been included in the list of dotted lands. In such circumstances, the application made by the petitioner under the PGRS mechanism cannot be maintained. In fact, for grant of patta and mutation, the petitioner has to make a separate application in Form–6 before the 5th respondent, and for deletion of the subject land from the dotted land list, she has to make a proper application before the 2nd respondent as per the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908. 3. In view of the above, liberty is given to the petitioner to make separate applications to the concerned authorities, and upon submission of such applications, the same shall be considered and disposed of as per the records, within a reasonable time. 4. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
