ORAL ORDER
Petitioner Nos.1 to 4/accused Nos.1 to 4 and respondent No.2 and their respective counsel as well as learned High Court Government Pleader for respondent No.1/State are present. 2. A joint memo of compromise duly signed by petitioner Nos.1 to 4/accused Nos.1 to 4 and respondent No.2 is filed. The terms of memorandum of settlement reads as under:
"The Petitioners and the Respondent No.2 respectfully submit before this Hon'ble Court as under:
I. The marriage of the Petitioner No. 1 and the Respondent No.2 was solemnised on 01.02.2021 at Sri. New Venkatadri Kalyana Mantapa, 100 ft. Ring Road, Kattriguppe, BSK 3rd Stage, Bengaluru-
560085. Soon after their marriage, owing to the differences in their temperament, the relationship between the Petitioner No.1 and the Respondent No.2 became bitter and deteriorated. Frequent quarrels between them resulted in several

reconciliations by their family and well-wishers, but nothing helped them to bring normalcy in their conjugal life and resulted in their marriage breaking down irretrievably. II. The divorce petition filed by the Petitioner No.1 against the Respondent No.2 in M.C. No: 1434/2024 on the file of Hon'ble Principle Family Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru, was referred to Lok Adalat held on 13-09-2025 and the parties decided to get their marriage dissolved by a decree of divorce. III. The Petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 have arrived at an amicable settlement. As per the settlement, they have exchanged all the movables, including Gold and Silver articles given at the time of marriage. IV. As agreed, the Petitioner No.1 has paid a permanent alimony of Rs. 12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve Lakh Only) and further paid an amount of Rs.7,000/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Only) towards the weight difference of gold ornaments exchanged between the parties through a Demand Draft bearing No."000113" dated 24-09-2025 drawn on HDFC Bank, Kumaraswamy Layout Branch, Bengaluru in favour of the Respondent No.2 towards payment of the full and final settlement of all the claims. The Petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 here by submit and acknowledge that they do not have any other claims against each other in whatsoever manner. V. The Respondent No.2 further submits that she is withdrawing all the allegations made in C.C. No: 6102/2023 pending on the file of Hon'ble XXXVII ACJM, Bengaluru.
She hereby consents before this Hon'ble Court to allow the captioned petition and thereby quash the criminal proceeding initiated against the Petitioner Nos.1 to 4 in C.C. No: 6102/2023 pending on the file of Hon'ble XXXVII ACJM, Bengaluru. - 5 -

VI. In view of the aforesaid reasons, the Petitioners and the Respondent No.2 prays that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to quash the criminal proceedings in C.C. No: 6102/2023 pending on the file of Hon'ble XXXVII ACJM, Bengaluru, in the interest of justice."

In view of settlement arrived at between the parties, respondent No.2 submits that she has no objection to allow the present petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C and to quash the criminal proceedings initiated against petitioner Nos.1 to 4/accused Nos.1 to 4. The terms of the memorandum of settlement is legal and equitable. The same is accepted and accordingly, following:
ORDER (i) The petition filed by petitioner Nos.1 to 4/accused Nos.1 to 4 under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is allowed. (ii) The criminal proceedings in C.C.No.6102/2023 on the file of XXXVII ACJM, Bengaluru (arising out of

Cr.No.151/2022 of Basavanagudi Women PS), for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 504, 506 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act is hereby quashed. (iii) The Registry is directed to send a copy of this order to the trial Court through e-mail.
