The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking following reliefs: I. Issue a Writ of Certiorari to quash the notice of appointment of Regular/Rural retail outlet (Petrol Pump) dealerships published in Time of India, Bangalore Edition dated 24.11.2018 and online notice published in the website of Indian Oil Corporation so far it relates to the application for retail outlet within Gokak Raod Railway Station and Ghataprabha Road Konnur Bus Stand on SH- 73 [Sl.No.658] vide Annexures-K and K1. II. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to install petrol pump allotted to the petitioner in R.S.No.256/2 [new R.S. No.256/3] in Konnur village of - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-D:4406 WP No. 108639 of 2018 Gokak Taluka Dist: Belagavi considering the representation dated 18.08.2017 vide Annexure-H. 3. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the writ papers with care. 4. Suffice it to note that the second respondent - IOC published the paper notification calling for applications for grant of dealership for regular retail outlet for the locations of Gokak Road Railway Station and Ghataprabha Road Konnur Bus Stand on SH-73. It is pivotal to note that the petitioner is not an applicant for the said location. Hence, the prayer sought in Prayer No.(i) cannot be accorded to the petitioner. As far as Prayer No.(ii) is concerned, a mandamus is issued directing the second respondent - IOC to consider the representation dated 18.08.2017 vide Annexure-H, in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, if not already considered as of today. 5. Resultantly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC-D:4406 WP No. 108639 of 2018 This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. Because of disposal of the Writ Petition, all pending interlocutory applications if any are disposed of and the interim order if any granted by this Court stands discharged.
