2. THE ANAKAPALLY RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE SOCIETY LTD, (NO.B-1539), ANAKAPALLY, VISAKHAPATNAM REP BY ITS SECRETARY
...RESPONDENT(S): Counsel for the Petitioner:
1. K S MALLIKARJUNA RAO Counsel for the Respondent(S):
The Court made the following:
2
ORAL ORDER:
No representation on behalf of the Writ Petitioner. 2. Heard Sri Abdul Matheen, learned Junior Standing Counsel representing Sri V.V. Sathish, learned Standing Counsel for APEPDCL. 3. The prayer sought in the present Writ Petition is as under:
“It is therefore prayed that the Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue appropriate writ, order or direction more in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to declaring the notice dt.15-4-2014 threatening to disconnect the service connection No.452 of the Writ Petitioner as illegal, arbitrary and opposed to all cannons of law and principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents not to disconnect the service connection of the Writ Petitioner and to pass such other order or orders as the Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.”
4. Writ Petitioner has also prayed for interim direction seeking not to disconnect the Service Connection No.452. Vide Order dated 08.05.2014 in W.P.M.P.No.17863 of 2014, this Court had ordered Interim Direction as prayed for, thereby directing the Authorities not to disconnect the service connection belonging to the Writ Petitioner. 5. This Writ Petition is of the year 2014 and it was listed on only one earlier occasion (08.05.2014). Needless to state that the Interim Order passed by this Court dated 08.05.2014 in W.P.M.P.No.17863 of 2014 has been in operation till date. Since the issue is only with regard to the proposed disconnection of the Service Connection No.452, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this Writ Petition pending. 6.
Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of as having become infructuous, with a further direction to continue Status-quo granted on
08.05.2014. No order as to costs. 3
7. Needless to state that the Respondent Authorities are at liberty to issue fresh Notice if any precipitative action is sought to be initiated against the Writ Petitioner. 8. Interlocutory Applications, if any, stand closed in terms of this order. ______________________________________ GANNAMANENI RAMAKRISHNA PRASAD, J Dt: 02.12.2025 Vns
