ORAL ORDER
In this petition, petitioner seeks for the following relief:
“Wherefore, the petitioner - accused most humbly pray that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.96/2024 on the file of the Hassan Women Police Station, Hassan which is pending on the file of the Hon'ble 7th Additional Civil Judge (Jr. Dn) and J.M.F.C. Court, Hassan District for the offences under sections 498-A, 504, 323 and 506 of I.P.C. and under sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and the consequent investigation as an abuse of process of law, in the ends of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the 2nd respondent jointly submit that there are case and counter case filed by the petitioner and 2nd respondent against one another, inasmuch as the petitioner herein filed the complaint which is registered as an FIR in Crime No.250/2024 against the 2nd

respondent herein and her family members, while the 2nd respondent had filed the present complaint which is registered as an FIR in Crime No.96/2024 against the petitioner herein. It is submitted by both sides that the impugned FIR in Crime No.96/2024 registered by the 1st respondent – Hassan Women Police station against the petitioner herein as well as Crime No.250/2024 registered by the Hassan Extension police against the 2nd respondent herein and her family members, are both be quashed. The said joint submission is placed on record.
3. In the result, I pass the following:-
ORDER
(i) Petition is hereby allowed.
(ii) The impugned FIR in Crime No.96/2024 registered by the 1st respondent – Police, pending on the file of 7th Addl.Civil Judge (Jr.Dn) & JMFC, Hassan and FIR in Crime No.250/2024 registered by the Hassan Extension Police, are hereby quashed insofar as the petitioner, 2nd respondent and her family members are concerned.
