The petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s); (a) ......to prohibit, regulate and restrain all manufacturers, distributors and traders from using images of Hindu deities and sacred religious symbols on disposable packaging including disposable bags and packages, commercial products and/or putting out the already printed ones in the market. (b)......to ensure that these disposable packaging using images of Hindu deities and sacred religious symbols that are already in the market shall not be dumped with such disregard. 2 4. Despite repeated query, no specific provision could be pointed out to show that images as mentioned in the relief(s) clause could not be used in the packaging materials, etc. 5.
