1. By way of the instant petition, the petitioner is challenging the initiation of proceeding for mutation of the name of the Respondent No.3 in the revenue records by the Respondent No.4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the Respondent No.3 has not given just and fair compensation to the petitioner in lieu of acquisition of land and the application for enhancement of the compensation is pending consideration before the Respondent No.2, however, despite that the Respondent No.4 has initiated the proceeding for mutation of the name of the Respondent No.3 in place of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that at this juncture the respondent authorities may be
directed to decide the application Anneuxre P/2 within a stipulated time frame.
3. Learned State counsel would submit that she has no objection in deciding the pending application of the petitioner.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties at length and perused the documents with utmost circumspection.
5. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, it is directed that Respondent No.2 shall decide the application/representation made by the petitioner dated 14/10/2024 (Annexure P/2) expeditiously as early as possible.

6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities shall decide the application of the petitioner on its own merits.
7. With the aforesaid observation, the instant writ petition stands
