JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. 2. The petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Bengaluru South Taluk, Bengaluru, to consider the petitioner’s representations vide Annexures-J, K, L, M and N and to continue the name of Smt. Channamma-mother of the petitioner in the revenue records pertaining to land bearing Sy.No.24 of Thippur Village, Kengeri Hobli, Bengaluru South Taluk. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38235 WP No. 28807 of 2025 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his mother Smt. Channamma was in an unauthorized occupation of 2 acres of land in Sy.No.24 of Thippur Village, Bengaluru South Taluk and the Committee for regularization of unauthorised occupation passed an order on 21.12.1979 granting the said lands in favour of petitioner’s mother. It is contended that the Deputy Commissioner issued official memorandum bearing No.B.Dis.LND.(3)127/79-80 conferring the land in favour of petitioner’s mother. The name of the petitioner’s mother was also entered in the revenue records in terms of mutation order bearing M.R.No.12/1983-84. However, after computerization, the name of the petitioner’s mother has been discontinued. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Bengaluru South Taluk, Bengaluru, to verify the records and if it is found that the petitioner’s mother had been granted the land, then, Tahsildar shall proceed to re-enter the name of the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38235 WP No. 28807 of 2025 petitioner’s mother in the computerized RTC. Thereafter, the petitioner is permitted to file one more application seeking mutation entry in his name on the ground of succession. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.
