JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice of both the respondents. 2. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue appropriate writ or direction to respondent No. 2 - Tahsildar Ramanagara Taluk to collect the premium or kimmat in respect of 0.15 guntas of land in Survey No.39 of Avaregere Village, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagara Taluk, pursuant to the Official Memorandum dated 24.01.1984 issued by the Assistant Commissioner, Ramanagara Sub Division. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s father, Late Sri Hombavenkataiah @ Emmehuduga s/o Dasappa, had filed an application under the Karnataka Land Grant Rules, 1969 seeking grant of land, and accordingly, the Assistant Commissioner issued the Official Memorandum at Annexure-B in respect of seventeen persons including - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35949 WP No. 5933 of 2025 Sri Hombavenkataiah at Sl.No.9 where 0.15 guntas of land was directed to be granted out of 9 acres 22 guntas in Sy. No.39 of Avaregere village. It is submitted that the other grantees have been granted the lands in terms of the Official Memorandum issued by the Assistant Commissioner. Therefore, the petitioner is seeking appropriate directions to the respondent No. 2 - Tahsildar to collect the premium at the hands of the petitioner and grant 0.15 guntas of land. 4. The petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondent No.2 - Tahsildar to verify from the records as to whether the Assistant Commissioner had passed such an order as found in Annexure-B dated 24.01.1984 granting 0.15 guntas of land in favour of the petitioner's father. If it is found that the said fact is correct, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to collect the premium from the petitioner. The Tahsildar shall find out regarding the legal heirs of late Sri Hombavenkataiah s/o Dasappa and proceed to pass order of grant in favour of the legal heirs of late Sri Hombavenkataiah while also issuing the saguvali chit in their favour. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35949 WP No. 5933 of 2025 5. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, and at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
