The petitioners have filed the instant petition under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No.15 dated 12.02.2021 registered under Sections 498-A & 406 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 at Police Station Amargarh, District Sangrur (now Malerkotla). 2. On receipt of advance copy of the petition, Mr. Adhiraj Singh, A.A.G., Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.1-State and on instructions from ASI Sohan Lal, submits that the challan in the present case has been presented on 18.08.2021 and the charges have been framed on 11.10.2021 and now the trial proceedings are fixed for 14.07.2025 for prosecution evidence. He further submits that neither the challan and order of framing of charges have been appended with the petition nor the same have been challenged. 3. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail other legal remedies in accordance with law. 4.
