This petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs: "WHEREFORE the petitioner humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to pass:- - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33090-DB WP No. 16529 of 2025 a. Issue a writ of Certiorari/Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, quashing the order dated 02.08.2024 passed by the Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Appeal No.2484/2017 (Annexure- "A"); b. Direct the State Commission to restore Appeal No.2484/2017 and decide the same on merits after affording an opportunity of hearing to both the sides; c. Pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court deems just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case". 3. A perusal of the order sheet of the Appeal No.2484/2017, which was before the State Commission reflects that the appeal was placed before the State Commission on 13.12.2017 Despite several dates being fixed, no one appeared for the appellant. The same is recorded in the order sheet. Further the order of 02.12.2020 records that despite sufficient opportunity given to the appellant, steps were not taken. The order of the District Commission is not under challenge in the instant petition nor is a copy of the order of the District Commission on record. 4. Under these circumstances, we find no error or illegality, perversity or lack of jurisdiction in the impugned - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33090-DB WP No. 16529 of 2025 order of the State Commission that would merit interference.
