Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:65415-DB Court No. - 3 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 10733 of 2025 Petitioner :- Anwar Uddin @ Mohd Anwar Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Mohd Irteqa,Suresh Chandra Dwivedi Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Vijay Bahadur Maurya Hon'ble Anjani Kumar Mishra,J. Hon'ble Jayant Banerji,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. Challenge in the writ petition is to a notice dated 25.03.2025. The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that by this notice the shop of the petitioner is sought to be removed. In this connection, the submission of Shri Vibhu Rai who appears for the respondent, Nagar Nigam is that in fact the petitioner is running a meat shop in the shop in question. He does not possess a valid licence for running this shop. Therefore the object of the notice was merely to call upon the petitioner to stop his meat business from the shop in the absence of a valid licence. Counsel for the petitioner admits that petitioners' licence expired in 2014. In view of the above, it is clarified that the notice is only for the purpose of ensuring that the shop is not used for a meat business in the absence of a valid licence. Thus, the shop cannot be used to sell meat in the absence of a licence. Subject to the above, this writ petition stands disposed of.
