1. This Writ Petition is filed with the following prayer:
“…to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents, more particularly. Respondent No. 4 and 5 in calling the Petitioner frequently to the Police Station without there being any complaint or cause against him and thereby forcing the Petitioner to enter in to a compromise in an unrelated case as being illegal, arbitrary, violative to cardinal principles of natural justice and Article 19 and 21 of Indian Constitution and consequently direct the Respondents not to frequently call the Petitioner to the Respondent No.4 Police Station..”
2. Heard Sri Thanjavuru Venkat Suman, learned counsel for petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that police are calling the petitioner to the police station without there being any crime registered against the petitioner. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that basing on the complaint given by Smt. Angirekula Venkata Ratnam to Superintendent of Police through Public Grievance Redressal System, the police are calling the petitioner to the police station for the purpose of enquiry and enquiry is still pending and no crime is registered so far. 5. Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed of. However, police are directed to follow due process of law regarding the complaint which is registered against the petitioner. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. ________________________________________
