Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. The grievance of the petitioners is that the father of the petitioner had sold Gata No. 147Ba, measuring 0.049 hectare, situated in Vidarkha, Tehsil Shikohabad, District Firozabad, wherein respondent Nos. 7, 8, and 9, who are private persons, have also allegedly encroached upon Gata No. 147Ba. 3. On perusal of the record, it appears that the dispute is essentially of a private nature between the petitioner and the private respondents regarding alleged illegal possession. Such a grievance cannot be adjudicated in proceedings under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to seek such remedy as may be available to him in law.
