The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No.82 dated 14.05.2017 registered under Sections 376 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Sadar Kurali, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) (Annexure P-1) and all other consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 30.01.2025 (Annexure P-2) arrived at between the parties. 2. On receipt of advance copy of the petition, Mr. Adhiraj Singh, A.A.G., Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.1-State and on instructions from ASI Pawan Kumar, submits that the cancellation report has been prepared by the police and shall be presented within a period of two weeks. 2. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file fresh one on the same cause of action if the needs so arises at a later stage. 3.
