At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press his prayer for grant of regular bail on merits of the case rather he submits that the petitioner may be granted the concession of interim bail for a period of four weeks, on account of wedding of his daughter, namely, Hazra Sheikh, which is scheduled on 25.04.2025. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that Hazra Sheikh, daughter of the petitioner is getting married with Mohd. Ismile Haq on 25.04.2025 and the ceremonies are to be held at Jal Vilas, Workshop Chowk, Jalandhar. He further submits that the presence of father of the daughter is required for performing the essential ceremonies and rituals on the occasion of wedding of his daughter. On the other hand, learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Harbans Singh, submits that the said facts have been verified by the local police and it has been found that Hazra Sheikh, daughter of the petitioner is getting married on 25.04.2025. 4. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 5. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail at 10.00 am on 23.04.2025, for a period of one week, subject to his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate, concerned. 6. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the jail authorities at 5.00 p.m. on 30.04.2025. 7. The concerned Court shall also be at liberty to impose any other conditions, as it deems fit in the peculiar facts and circumstances of case.
