ORAL ORDER
1. Petitioner is before this court seeking for the following reliefs: a. "Call for entire records;
b. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing respondent-police to consider representation dated 16.12.2024 given by the petitioner to the Commissioner of Police and Director, State Intelligence, Karnataka as per Annexure-C and D and permit the petitioner to

engage private security at his own cost to safeguard his life;. c. Grant such other relief, order or direction to the respondent in the circumstances of the case."
2. The grievance of the petitioner was that the application which had been submitted by the petitioner for engaging private security guards to protect the petitioner was not considered and in that background that the petitioner had approached this court seeking for the aforesaid relief. 3.
Learned AGA on instruction, submitted that the said application had indeed been considered and rejected on the ground that the persons who had been nominated by the petitioner as security guards, though had a licence to carry firearms, it is only for self protection and not to provide protection to third parties like the petitioner. 4. Faced with the above situation, learned senior counsel Sri. C H Jadhav submits that an application

would be made by the petitioner to the Commissioner of Police and Director, State Intelligence, Karnataka seeking for police protection at the cost of the petitioner by providing all necessary documentation and support in that regard. 5. Learned AGA submits that if such an application is submitted, the same would be considered within 2 weeks from the date of receipt of the said application in accordance with law and availability of police personnel. The said submission answers the grievance of the petitioner. Placing said submission, the petition stands dismissed.
