The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Burmu P.S. Case No. 53 of 2023, corresponding to S.T. Case No.37 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of Sri Arvind Kumar-2, learned A.J.C.-XX at Ranchi. Bail applications of the petitioner were earlier rejected twice by this Court vide B.A. No. 480/2024, by order dated 10.04.2024 & B.A. No. 9728/2024, by order dated 25.11.2024 respectively. On 25.08.2023, sister of the informant went missing. On 27.08.2023, her dead body was recovered from a well, situated near Baeuketha. Suspicion has been raised upon this petitioner and co-accused that they might have committed her murder. During the course of investigation, petitioner was apprehended and, on his confession, a bloodstained Dauli which was used in committing murder of the deceased was recovered. It was submitted that out of 16 charge-sheeted witnesses, seven witnesses have been examined. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial and preferably, conclude the same within nine months from the next date fixed for recording of evidence. (Ambuj Nath, J.)
