Mr. S.B. Gupta, learned counsel for the appellant, and Mr. Binod Singh, learned counsel for the opposite parties are present. The instant appeal is preferred under Section 19 (1) of the Family Court Act, 1984 against the judgment and decree passed on 20.12.2023 by the Additional Principal Judge, Additional Family Court, Hazaribag in Original Suit No. 148/2020 vide order dated 11.12.2025. The appellant-Om Prakash and respondent-Rinki Kumari Paswan is in appearance before the Lok Adalat and a joint compromise petition has been filed duly signed by both sides and identified by Mr. S.B. Gupta, learned counsel on behalf of the appellant. The original suit for dissolution of marriage was filed in the year 2020 and the suit was dismissed vide judgment dated 20.12.2023. More than five years has elapsed since the filing of the suit and there is no prospect of any settlement and the parties have agreed to part their way. It is submitted by both sides that all civil and criminal cases which are pending between them before Civil Court will be withdrawn in terms of the compromise. Under the circumstance, the marriage is dissolved and First Appeal No.21 of 2024 is disposed of in terms of compromise and settlement dated 13.12.2025 filed on behalf of both sides. …………………………. ………………………….
