The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Cyber Crime P.S. Case No. 152 of 2024, corresponding to Cyber Crime Case No.20 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 & 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 66(B), 66(C) & 66(D) of the Information Technology Act, pending in the court of Sri Yashwant Prakash, learned Additional Judicial Commissioner -II-cum- Special Judge, Cyber Crime, Ranchi. Accused persons are alleged to have formed a WhatsApp group and they lured several unsuspecting people to invest in share market through their WhatsApp group. It was submitted that no money was transferred to the account of the petitioner. It was further submitted that petitioner works in the office of Ankit Agrawal, who is also an accused in this case, from where, money transaction had taken place, due to which, he has been made accused. Report regarding the stage of the trial, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that out of ten charge-sheeted witnesses, no witness has been examined. It was submitted that petitioner is in custody since last seventeen months. It was further submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Yashwant Prakash, learned Additional Judicial Commissioner -II-cum-Special Judge, Cyber Crime, Ranchi, in connection with Cyber Crime P.S.
